There are many places where you can get involved at ZUMC. Below you will find a list of possible places that you can serve or be involved in. We have something for every age and every style of life.
- Yard Clean Up
- House Repair
- Moving
- Wheelchair ramps
- Firewood
- Most of the projects that these men take on are done for people or groups that cannot perform these tasks themselves. If you would like to join the group, just show up at the next meeting; they would love to have you. For more information visit http://www.gcumm.org/
The food program at Zion is a group that meets on Wednesday mornings and distributes food at little or no cost. In these economic times this group keeps very busy and serves a lot of local families and individuals. If you would be interested in helping in this program, please contact the church office (456-3754) for more information.

180 Youth Group
-
This is the 5 -12th grade youth group. They are called the 180 youth because they were going in the wrong direction and decided to make a 180 turn in their life and follow God. They meet regularly and do a variety of things. If you would like to join this group or have your child join this group, please contact the church office (456-3754) to find out when they are meeting next.
This is a safe place for kids to come on most Saturday evenings to hang out with other kids their age. It is monitored by adults from the church family. The Coffee House meets Saturday at 7:00 pm. It is for high school and college aged young adults. If you have any questions, please contact the church office (456-3754) or Pastor Alice (456-3293).
- Bible Study
- If you are looking for a place to learn more about God and the Bible, try our weekly Bible Study. It meets Wednesday nights at 7:00 pm. Everyone is
welcome to attend. This Bible Study covers a variety of topics and will help anyone better understand the Bible.
- Choir
- If you want to make a joyful noise for the Lord, maybe choir is the place for you. The
choir meets for practice every Thursday at 7:00 pm. The only time they do not meet is during the summer months. If you want to join the choir, just arrive at one of their practices or contact
the church office (456-3754).
- Mission Service Projects
- A meeting will be held February 5th after worship to discuss how much interest there is in a Summer Mission Trip.
- Service projects during Lent. Ideas for the projects were: Pumping gas and washing windshields at Caseys; Projects at the Senior Center; Make up thank you baskets for West Salem School Teachers; Projects at the West Salem Manor; Wash windows for people who can’t; Clean up yards; Threads of Hope; Feed the Family at Hope Center. This will be presented to the congregation on February 5, during Sun...day School opening and Worship. Each Sunday School Class is to be asked to do one service project. A choice can be either from the list or one the class decides upon. Each class can make its choice and set its date. Would like to have this done February 12th or 19th. If every adult class, High School and College classes and the 180 Youth do a project it will workout to 1 a week during Lent.
- Lenten Coin folders again this year. Each folder holds $10.00. Just think of it as giving up one cup of coffee or can of soda each day during Lent.
- We still have cookbooks for sale. Remember this money goes to Imagine No Malaria. Everything is profit now.
